What we do

Education & Training

We build training programs, not slide decks. Curriculum, assessment, instructor development, the platform it runs on and the certification behind it.

When people call us about this

Most organizations do not have a training problem. They have a training program problem — content that accumulated rather than being designed.

  • The training exists, but nobody can say what someone is supposed to be able to do at the end of it.
  • Every instructor teaches it differently, and the good one is retiring.
  • The assessment tests whether people paid attention, not whether they can do the job.
  • An LMS was purchased and the old PowerPoints were uploaded into it.
  • The certification has to stand up to scrutiny and the records are in a filing cabinet.
  • The material is technically correct and nobody can get through it.

What we provide

  • Curriculum architecture and course development
  • Complete training-program design
  • Instructor development and train-the-trainer programs
  • Assessment and examination design
  • Certification program development
  • LMS strategy, selection and implementation
  • Online, in-person and blended delivery design
  • Learning pathways and onboarding programs
  • Instructor manuals, student handbooks and course materials
  • Association, nonprofit and workforce education programs
  • Course redevelopment where the content is sound and the structure is not

Typical situations

A trade association whose certification course had been revised by eleven people over fifteen years and no longer matched either the exam or the current code.

A company that needed forty field technicians trained on a new procedure, in six locations, by instructors who had never taught before.

An organization moving a three-day in-person course online without losing the part that made it work, which was the hands-on afternoon.

How the work runs

We start from what someone has to be able to do, not from the material that already exists. That produces the objectives, and the objectives produce the assessment. The content comes last, which is the opposite of how most training gets built and the reason most training does not work.

Then we build the whole thing: instructor guides, student materials, assessments, the platform configuration and the instructor training. We are usually in the room for the first delivery.

What you end up with

  • A program with stated objectives and assessments that test them
  • Materials a second instructor can pick up and teach from
  • Instructors who have been trained to teach it, not just handed it
  • Defensible records, where certification depends on them
  • Something maintainable: a revision process, not another fifteen-year accumulation
